What is this book about?

A cheating fiancé. An embarrassing video of her on youtube – on towels! A charming teenager more than ready to profit from the situation. The return of an old lover. And (as if it was not enough) a crumbling family business. Yep. Sharona is a wreck. When the children’s book writer (and ex-boxing-addicted), Sharona Wesley, meets soon-to-be-celebrity Patricia Evans in a BAR FIGHT, she didn’t even think twice before going to the rescue. Sure, that fight might have left a couple of ugly bruises, but it was worth it.

Together, Shar and Patti will find strength in this new friendship – and maybe the support they needed to Conquer the big City! But if Patricia’s friendship, a whole lot of hard work (and _maybe_ some steamy romance with certain Gorgeous Police Officer) are enough to help Sharona take the wheel of her own life – that’s something we’ll have to see!

When can I expect to see it in a Bookstore?

I’m currently working on that! hahaha If you’re an interested literary agent, please send me an e-mail at ligiamns@gmail.com or using the form at the end of the page.

Why should I read it?

I was hearing the song “My Sharona”, by The Knack, when I first noticed how much women’s part in books, songs and in our society are (for lack of a better word), ‘passive’. Women are saved, protected, abused, ignored – and I want to change that. Only years later I’d decide to write a book, again while hearing the same song.

Like Sharona, I was facing a tough moment of my life and I wanted, as a woman,  to see literature and movies for me. With my problems, within my reality. I wanted romance to have a small part, sure, but not to control the whole plot. Thus, I created my own book – and through it, I decided to change my life.
